THE APPLICATION PROCESS

At NQ Rentals, we understand the stress and pressure that can come with applying for a rental property. We strive to make the application process as efficient and transparent as possible. We're committed to processing most applications within 24 hours, provided that your application includes all the required information.

Applying for a rental property can be a straightforward process when you're well-prepared. Our team at NQ Rentals is here to assist you at every step of your rental journey. To strengthen your application, we recommend having all necessary documents ready before applying for properties.

Approval and Deposit

If your application is approved, you will be required to pay a deposit equivalent to two weeks' rent. We'll send you the tenancy agreement and bond forms for digital signature. You'll have 24 hours to review, sign, and secure your tenancy. While these documents are standard Queensland tenancy agreements, we encourage you to carefully read them and ask any questions before signing.

References

Strong references, especially employment and previous rental references, play a crucial role in demonstrating your reliability and ability to care for rental properties.

Bond Payment

Before collecting the keys to your new home, you'll need to pay a bond equivalent to four weeks' rent. Rest assured, this bond will be securely lodged with the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA). All payments are made into our trust account, so please allow 24 hours for the funds to clear before key collection.

Proof of Income

You'll need to provide evidence of your financial ability to meet your weekly rent. This can be accomplished through recent payslips, bank statements, or account statements that show proof of income. A previous rent ledger can also demonstrate your capacity to fulfill rental obligations.

Photo ID

You're required to provide two forms of identification. The first must be either a driver's license or passport. The second form of ID can be a Medicare card, birth certificate, bank statement, or utility accounts that verify both your name and address.
